MY STORY

My journey with the body started from a very young age.  I was 13 when all my senses could tell what was about to happen to my body… What I found out later was a diagnosis of ‘Ruptured intervertebral muscles between , L4-L5, my two lowest lumbar vertebrae.’ This was when I had my first truly authentic experience with how injury can impact the body. I was told that I would need to go to physical therapy all summer, consuming the best part of my newly acquired teenage years. I would be attending an appointment 3 times a week, for 1.5 hrs a day, for 3.5 months. As a comparison the average injury in a person goes to physical therapy twice a week for 30 mins a session. So yes I was there A LOT, what felt like all the time to me 13 year old self.

After my stint in physical therapy the lightbulb of my life’s purpose was illuminated for me. I vowed that I would never work behind a desk and that I would spend my life healing people, creating the type of impact that my physical therapists had on me.

This began my journey learning different healing modalities focused on addressing the stress, tension, and movement patterns in peoples lives in mind, body, & spirit. I started with a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Physiology, immediately followed by Massage Therapy School. I skipped massage school graduation to start Yoga Teacher Training, and upon finishing got my Reiki Master Teacher certification. I had solidified my vision: To heal the world through the act of touching people, creating a ripple effect of healing.

I was now so aware of all the stress that I noticed in the lives of my parents and the adults in the world around me as a child. Seeing the impacts of the corporate lifestyle that so many people are subject to. I was able to look at the human body and the way it moved, in ways that, put simply, most people don’t. This perspective has allowed me to lean and take my bodywork to a whole new level. My practice is derived and driven by unconditional love, intuition, and connection. I LOVE WHAT I DO and I am so excited to share it with you.

Before landing in Seattle in May 2015 I was living and working in upstate New York in a wellness office. Once I got my massage license from NY transferred over to WA I began working for a company that was basically Uber for in home massage; wild I know. It was through this though that I met a mentor of mine and truly evolved into the massage therapist I am today. It is my goal to constantly be learning new techniques and methods in which I may be able to help treat your body of the aches and pains of living life in today’s world. Thank you for being the best part about the work that I do. If it wasn’t for you, my client, I would not be able to share my passion with the world, or create the ripple effect of healing I seek to create.
